Which bacteria could cause urinary tract infections but would not show up on a normal urine culture?

Some bacteria species (such as Mycoplasma) are difficult to culture using standard methods. Could these bacteria cause a urinary tract infection in the absence of a positive urine culture?

If so, how can these infections be diagnosed in a patient with only general symptoms of cystitis? What other hard-to-culture species besides Mycoplasma can cause urinary tract infections?
