Can we detect blood group by help of saliva ?

Hey everyone.

The other day I was asked in my physiology class if it is possible to detect blood group of an individual through saliva? If so, then how?

Please help!

You can detect blood groups through some body fluids due to the relation to relevant antigens.

Secretors can detect blood type in bodily fluids such as saliva as they secrete antigens. This is about 80% of the population in the US.

No, we cannot fined blood group through saliva because we fined blood group through so saliva do not having red blood cells.
