OSCE Examinations - Scars?

I'm just going over some OSCE Examinations - cardio/resp/abdo/peripheral vascular. One thing I'm trying to work out is the common scars to loook out for in each examination.

Can anyone advise me what scars I should be keeping an eye out for in each exam please.

Thanks in advance

Just off the top of my head, I'm afraid - and definitely only the more common ones:

Cardio:

  • midline scar = thoracotomy (heart surgery)
  • pacemaker

Respiratory:

  • chest drains
  • lobe-ect
